PAY: Up to $55,000- $60,000 (Depending on experience)

HOURS: Monday-Friday; 7:30AM - 4:00PM Including a rotating Saturday shift working 8:00AM – 12:00PM

TITLE : Freight Dispatcher

LOCATION: 13930 Missouri Bottom Rd. Bridgeton, Missouri 63044

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Take on the responsibility for efficient and cost-effective scheduling of deliveries and routing of trucks
• Working with ELD requirements
• Assist with onboarding and managing company drivers
• Monitor and track DOT requirements for drivers
• Schedule pick-ups and drop offs from suppliers and customers
• Schedule repairs and maintenance of trucks and other company equipment
• Maintain technical and computer skills and capability to effectively use distribution and office software
• Oversee that the manifests are run and given to drivers in a timely fashion
• Take telephone orders and other information related to delivery of merchandise
• Routing telephone inquires
• Attend company meetings as requested
• Assist in taking scheduled inventories
• Coordinate activities with department heads and branch sales personnel
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Interpersonal skills; ability to foster teamwork and motivate/coach others
• Ability to find shipments on various load boards
• Able to converse with customers, brokers and drivers professionally
• Ability to work in fast-paced, constantly changing environment
• Regular and reliable attendance

Education and Experience:

• Must have at least 2 years of truck dispatching experience
• HS/GED or equivalent experience required
• Knowledge of local and regional geographical area
• Knowledge of HAZMAT transport preferred
• Familiar with ELD requirements

Physical Requirements

• Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, grasping, and feeling
• Repetitive sitting, manual dexterity for key board, talking, and hearing
• Clarity of vision - no special requirements, viewing computer screens & reports
• Active and Sedentary work - exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
