This is a FT exempt position Monday thru Friday 8a-5p

Summary:

The Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Newman Regional Health. This includes managing financial reporting, budgeting, cost report estimation, forecasting, and financial analysis. The Hospital Controller works closely with the hospital's executive team to develop and implement financial strategies to ensure the organization's financial health and sustainability.

Essential Functions:

• Developing and monitoring the hospital's annual budget and financial goals
• Analyzing financial data and providing recommendations to improve financial performance
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
• Managing the hospital's cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes
• Collaborate with the Executive of Revenue Cycle to evaluate initiatives to improve cash flow and/or overall revenue cycle performance
• Providing financial analysis and support for strategic initiatives and decision-making
• Managing the hospital's financial systems and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Managing the hospital's financial reporting, including monthly financial statements, budget variance analysis, and, cost report estimates and analyses, and financial forecasts
• Supervising and mentoring finance staff, including accountants, financial analysts, payroll coordinators, and accounts payable staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) Field of study: Accounting
• 5 years hospital experience
