Staff Pharmacist - Sacramento, CA
Compensation: $65 to $67 Hourly
Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Pharmacist for a reputable specialty pharmacy in Sacramento. The ideal candidate should have experience as a Registered Pharmacist in Long-Term Care and Assisted Living settings and must be a licensed pharmacist in California.

Staff pharmacists are vital in healthcare, ensuring safe and effective medication use. They dispense prescriptions, offer patient counseling, and collaborate with healthcare teams. The pharmacists will verify prescriptions, manage drug interactions, and provide valuable medication information. Accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs the duties of a pharmacist working in a Long-Term Care and Assisted Living pharmacy in compliance with policy and state/federal regulations.
Works with supervisory staff to develop and implement ideas for delivering high-quality, cost-effective services.
Works independently; demonstrates leadership in the practice of pharmacy.
Strong attention to detail and maintaining attention to detail in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
Strong ability to adapt and produce results in a fast-growing company.
Supervises pharmacy support personnel, which includes activities performed, work allocation between staff, and work performance (quality and quantity of work).
Delegates aspects of pharmacy practice to a pharmacy intern or pharmacy technician within the parameters of their job description.
Implements policy and regulatory required record systems and processes for the pharmacy.
Be available for on-call services if required.
Other tasks as assigned by Management.
Qualifications :
2+ years as a licensed pharmacist in California in a Long-Term Care and Assisted Living is preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License in CA is required.

Ability to commute or relocate to Sacramento, CA.
