Vessel Officer & Patrol Officer - Port of Miami (SMI)

SMI is seeking dedicated and experienced individuals to fill Vessel Officer and Patrol Officer positions at the Port of Miami. These critical roles will ensure the security and smooth operation of our cargo handling facilities. Responsibilities:

• Conduct vessel patrols and security checks within the Port of Miami.
• Monitor cargo operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Control access to restricted areas.
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of activities and incidents.
• Communicate effectively with port personnel, shipping companies, and other stakeholders.
• Enforce all applicable rules and regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Reliable transportation.
• Experience working at the Port of Miami, preferably in a cargo handling environment.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong observation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain composure.

Compensation:

• $15.00 per hour.
