Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position is assigned to the Operations and Management Consultant II to perform chair-side assistance to the dentist. This position requires close interaction between patients, the dentist, and other dental staff. The ability to communicate effectively and maintain professionalism and confidentiality are key components of this position. The assistant must be competent in assisting with preventive, therapeutic and surgical clinical procedures (i.e. dental prophylaxis, dental sealants, dental restorations, and dental extractions). Degree/License/Certification: Must have a High School Diploma or its equivalent. Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, Radiology Certificate, Certification in Basic Life Support.

Skilled in placing dental sealants, assisting dentist and skilled in working independently.

Qualifications:
Minimum -
Must be willing to accept this salary if offered the position
Must have Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certificate
Must have a Florida Dental Radiography Certificate
Must have a certification in Basic Life Support
Preferred -
Graduate from a formal accredited dental assisting school. Six months dental assisting experience
Requires an understanding of the dental operations, undstand compliance and quality requrements related to the provision of dental care services and demonstrates success working with the dentist.
Experience with pediatric patients, sterlizing instruments, assits dentist with dental procedures, exposes dental x-rays, instructing patients in oral hygiene instruction.
