Agave Pediatrics is currently seeking a self-motivated, responsible, experienced medical scribe who would like to gain valuable experience working one-on-one with a physician. Duties include following the physician into the rooms and taking notes within our E-clinicals EMR. We would appreciate it if you have experience with pediatrics. You must have a good knowledge of medical terminology, at least 6 months of scribing experience, and be able to drive to multiple practice locations. This paid, full-time position. Scribing is an incredible experience, teaching you an extensive base of medical knowledge and on-the-job exposure in a clinical setting.
Position Duties
• Assists the physician in navigating our E-clinicals EMR and may locate information for review as requested by the physician (i.e., previous notes, radiology reports, and laboratory results). Also, may research information requested by the physician.
• Accompanies the physician upon patient interview and examination.
• Documents the patient history, including: history of present illness, past medical and surgical history, and family and social histories.
• Documents physical examination findings and procedures as performed by the physician.
• Documents orders for laboratory, radiographic studies, and prescriptions as dictated by the physician.
• Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
• Assists in physician's developing research project.
Requirements
• Must have a high school diploma. College degree or current enrollment in a 4-year program is highly recommended but not required.
• Must demonstrate ability to clearly and concisely communicate, orally and in writing.
• Must demonstrate a high level of maturity and possess strong interpersonal & organizational skills.
• Minimum typing speed of 60 WPM.
• Must be available to work 4, eight-hour shifts per week. Shifts will be during clinic hours, Monday-Wednesday and Friday approximately 8am to 5pm, including some Saturdays. Locations include Chandler, Goodyear, and Deer Valley.
