**Job Title: Journeyman Painter** **Job Description** We are seeking experienced journeyman painters to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of commercial painting experience and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Our projects are primarily located in the immediate Bay Area, with our company based in San Jose. **Responsibilities** + Paint, stain, and varnish surfaces using brushes and spray guns. + Sand, scrape, and brush surfaces in preparation for painting. + Repair surfaces to be painted, including plastering and sheetrock finishing. + Mix and match paint colors as needed. + Waterproof surfaces to ensure durability. + Refinish furniture such as chairs, bookcases, and desks. + Set glass and apply putty as necessary. + Paint signs and occasionally hang wallpaper. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of commercial painting experience. + Proficiency in using brushes and spray guns. + Skills in paint mixing, sanding, and surface preparation. + Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in industrial painting and spray gun usage. + Ability to pass drug and background checks. **Why Work Here?** Join a tight-knit, family-like work environment that encourages long-term growth. This role offers a long-term opportunity with a steady pipeline of work. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
