Summary:

We are working with a Medical Device organization looking for a Director of Machine Learning. Responsibilities:

• Own the machine learning roadmap and strategy
• Build and lead a growing team of engineers
• Collaborate with clinical teams to design ML systems grounded in real-world needs
• Develop scalable, auditable, and explainable models for interpreting neural signals
• Balance short-term deliverables with long-term R&D strategy
• Represent the ML function across leadership and cross-disciplinary initiatives

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
• 8+ years of experience in machine learning or applied research; 3+ years in a leadership role
• Proven track record in medical devices, defense, aerospace, or automotive industries
• Deep expertise in time series and high-dimensional signal data
• Strong track record of developing ML systems for complex, high-dimensional data
• Proficiency with modern ML tools and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)
• Experience in regulated tech (medical devices, robotics, etc.)
