Insight Global is looking for Contract Specialists for a client in Phoenix, AZ.

Contract Specialist

Location: Phoenix, AZ 85003 - onsite

Duration: 6 month contract with potential for extensions/permanent conversion

Pay Range: $25/hr - $40/hr (dependent on experience/potential flexibility)

Must Haves:

• Previous experience within procurement or contract management in construction design

Plusses:

• Experience with Arizona Revised Statutes (ARS) Title 34 or 28
• Previous experience within the state or local government

Summary:

A local municipality is looking to hire a Contracts Specialist to join its PMO. Within the Project Management Office, this candidate will help support all capital improvement projects by managing the construction and design contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Develops the scope and specifications of contracts for routine and professional services
• Writes contract requirements in conformance with City policies and State and Federal laws, ordinances, rules and regulations
• Trains and monitors participating City departments or divisions in processing contracts to ensure conformity with various City, County, and State policies and procedures
• Serves as liaison between a department, contractors, consultants, and users
• Researches and interprets contract provisions including explaining contract processes, penalties, and compliance terms to users
• Coordinates the renewal and extension of contracts
• Resolves discrepancies in contracts and prepares written documentation
• Prepares advertisements, conducts pre-proposal meetings, and facilitates evaluations of Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications
• Monitors contract expenditures and prepares written reports
