**Waste Connections of Arkansas** is looking for an **Heavy Equipment Operator / Class A Licensed Driver** to join our team at the landfill in **Cherokee Village, AR** . In this position, you'll operate heavy equipment, move dirt and haul leachate **What You'll Be Doing:** You'll play a key role in keeping our landfill running smoothly, safely, and efficiently: + Safely operating heavy equipment like **trackhoes, compactors, off-road dump trucks, and tractors** + Acting as a **spotter** to help trucks move in and out safely + **Keeping the worksite clean and clear** of hazards + **Pulling and compacting trash** to keep things organized + **Hauling dirt materials, and** **leachate** as needed + Performing daily safety checks and basic maintenance on your equipment (oil, tires, fluids) + Always watching out for your team and working with a **safety-first mindset** + Pitching in on other site duties as needed This is a physically demanding position and does require working in all weather conditions. **Schedule & Pay:** + **Monday-Friday** , with **occasional Saturdays** + **6:00 AM - 5:30 PM** + **$19 - $21/hour** , depending on experience **What We're Looking For:** + **Class A CDL Required, Tanker endorsement** (will help get it if you do not have it) + Experience with **Dozers, Trackhoes** , or other heavy equipment + A strong focus on **safety** + Clean driving record + Comfortable using **basic computer tools** (Word, Excel) **Why Work With Us?** + **Stable, year-round work** + **Safety-first culture** + **Annual boot allowance** + **Medical, Dental & Vision benefits** + **401(K) with up to 5% company match** _Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
