Truck Driver for Commercial Asphalt

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and reliable truck driver to join our team at Spencer Quarries Incorporated in Mitchell, SD. As a truck driver for Commercial Asphalt, you will be driving Newer late model equipment -  End Dump or a Tractor pulling belly dumps, flowboys or move our plants & equipment to and from jobsites.

We are a EOE & a Pre employement Drug Screen & Physical is required.

Pay: $25-$30 / hr depending on experince

This is a Construction Season Full Time position with full benefits

What to expect on with this job

• Hours are usually 10 plus hrs / day 5 days a week - rarely a Saturday work
• Some travel required in the Southeast area of State
• Depending on Jobsite - overnight stays are suggested but not required

Responsibilities

• Transport asphalt materials to construction sites in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues
• Maintain accurate daily logs and complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Report any incidents, accidents, or violations

Requirements

• CDL - Class A is helpful - but will train right person
• Clean driving record
• Physically fit and able to load and unload materials
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
