We are seeking a skilled Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (ACS) Surgeon to join our dynamic surgical team in El Paso, Texas. This is a composite position with coverage split between a Level II Trauma Center and a Level III Trauma Center, offering a diverse clinical experience and excellent professional support.
Position Overview
Shifts: 9-14 shifts per month
Trauma Levels: Level II and Level III centers
Compensation:
$3,000 per Level II shift
$2,000 per Level III shift
Responsibilities
Provide trauma and acute care surgical services in both Level II and Level III settings.
Manage emergent surgical cases, trauma evaluations, and inpatient surgical care.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including emergency medicine, critical care, and surgical subspecialists.
Supervise and work alongside APPs (Advanced Practice Providers).
Participate in teaching opportunities with medical students.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold hospital standards and protocols.
Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery; fellowship in Surgical Critical Care or Trauma/ACS preferred.
Current or recent experience in a Level II Trauma Center is required.
Texas medical licensure.
