BOWMAN is a tactical communications system that integrates digital voice and data technology to provide secure radio, telephone, intercom, and tactical internet services in a modular, fully integrated solution. General Dynamics Mission SystemsCanada (GDMS-C) is seeking a Software/Firmware Developer to join the BOWMAN product development team in Calgary and support future capability development.
The teams mandate is to design and deliver new features and enhancements for the Bowman communication system. As a developer on this team, you will design, build, and unit test new capabilities, enhancements, and defect fixes that enable advanced communication services. These services include on- and off-platform communications, network data routing and forwarding, radio communications, headquarters communications (fibre, Non-Line of Sight, etc.), battle management and system management, as well as IT services like email, chat, custom applications, and COTS products.

It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations. You must be eligible to work in Canada.
