Description We are looking for an experienced (2+ yrs) *REMOTE* Part-Time Legal Secretary to join our NYC office on a fully remote contract basis. This part-time position requires 10-25 hours of work per week and offers an excellent opportunity for individuals skilled in legal administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will excel in managing court-related filings, organizing schedules, and handling legal documentation with accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities: - Input and manage information within the Practice Panther system to ensure accurate record-keeping. - Prepare and dispatch subpoenas to the appropriate parties in a timely manner. - Conduct research to identify correct locations for serving legal documents. - Coordinate and manage the legal calendar to ensure deadlines and appointments are met. - Handle dictation and transcription tasks with a high level of detail and professionalism. - Manage electronic court filings and ensure compliance with all legal requirements. - Organize and maintain legal documentation to facilitate smooth access and retrieval. - Communicate effectively with legal professionals and other stakeholders to support case management. Requirements - Previous proven experience (2+ yrs) as a legal secretary. - Proficiency in e-Filing and electronic court filing systems. - Strong skills in calendar management and scheduling. - Ability to perform legal research and manage documentation efficiently. - Experience with dictation and transcription tasks in a legal setting. - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. - Familiarity with legal software such as Practice Panther or similar tools. - Strong communication skills to liaise with legal professionals and other parties.
