A client of Sharp Decisions is looking for a Project Manager. This role is HYBRID in Torrance, CA (4 days onsite. 1 day remote) with an initial contract of 12 months . W2 ONLY

Daily Tasks Performed:

The Consumer and Dealer Applications Department, The client is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Senior Project Manager who will lead the project team in alignment with the department and business unit objectives.

The Senior Project Manager will provide governance and oversight of end-to-end delivery, administrative direction, and leadership guidance and support for members of his/her team. The Senior Project Manager will be working closely with multiple areas of North American team (Sales, Parts, Service, Finance etc.), in addition to managing vendor suppliers. Reporting to the Dealer Applications Unit Lead, this role will be responsible for working with all levels of business and technical management and teams to guide the delivery of both strategic and tactical projects.

This is a leadership position, and this individual is responsible for project managing a team focused on delivering a high-quality Dealer Communication System (DCS) that meets current and future dealer and business needs.

The candidate must exhibit drive, thought leadership and have very strong problem-solving and organizational capabilities to lead the delivery of complex technology solutions, including understanding business and technical aspects of the system and navigating a highly complex multi-organization ecosystem. In addition to project managing the development of the DCS, this individual will also be involved in developing and delivering proposals, dashboards, and presentations to all levels of business and management.

What will this person be working on:

1. Manage the design, development & implementation of the Dealer Communication system across multiple business areas.

2. Maintain a high-performing team comprised of associates, contingent staff members, and vendor partners.

3. Achieve the Unit goals for the Project Delivery of the DCS system as approved annually: including schedule, budget, and quality commitments, and define and implement the processes and methodologies to enable robust delivery and operation of complex, large-scale dealer-facing applications in a multi-partner ecosystem.

4. Lead complex technical programs such as replatforming legacy systems, modernizing infrastructure, or driving architectural transformation in coordination with IT and Enterprise Architecture teams.

5. This role requires onsite presence approximately 80% of the time at our Torrance, CA office.

To Skills:

10-15 years in Information Technology/Information Services

5+ years of resource management, vendor management

5+ years of project management, leading teams, and building cross-organizational relationships

Solid experience in estimating, budgeting, and scheduling projects $1M-5M

Experience with large-scale transactional and/or business-to-business (B2B) applications, advanced technology, client-server, SaaS, PaaS

1. Is-related Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, Strong customer mindset, 7-10 years of IT business or product development work experience5-8 years of supervisory experience

2. 3-5 years managing professionals who lead teams, groups, and vendors

3. 5-8 years project management experience (Agile and Waterfall)

4. 5-8 years of technical management experience

5. 3-5 years of experience working with business groups and enterprise organizations such as Legal, Procurement, Enterprise Architecture, etc.

6. 2-3 years procuring and managing outsourced and off-site partners

7. Ability to plan, set, and govern strategic and tactical direction to support the organization’s goals

8. Professional writing skills

9. Technical understanding of mobile, web, and services-based solutions

10. Experience with dealer automotive systems, DCS/DMS projects, or other technology projects is desirable

11. Experience in management-level presentations

12. Experience delivering high-volume transaction applications

13. Experience with developing and managing a budget (at least $5M)

14. Experience leading and/or providing application development and portfolio support

15. Experience with client-server, SaaS, PaaS preferred

16. Experience with Liferay platform implementations is desirable

17. Experience leading re-platforming, cloud migration, or enterprise system modernization initiatives is highly desirable

18. Experience working closely with Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure teams highly desirable
