Position Overview

The Project Controls and Procurement Manager will oversee all aspects of project procurement and pre-construction activities, ensuring a seamless transition from pre-construction to active construction phases. This role involves managing major buyouts, conducting comprehensive procurement, overseeing subcontracting agreements, and ensuring all materials and resources are ready for the operations team.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Manage all major procurement activities, including bulk buys for each cost code and ensure materials are sourced efficiently.
• Perform detailed construction takeoffs using design and prefab drawings provided by the BIM department.
• Identify and address any gaps in project scope, ensuring all materials and resources are accounted for.
• Oversee and manage all subcontracting contracts, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.
• Handle the entire submittal process, ensuring all documentation and materials are approved and ready.
• Deliver a complete and organized construction package to the operations team for execution.

Qualifications

 

• Proven experience in project controls, procurement, or a related field in the construction or electrical contracting industry.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, BIM processes, and prefabrication.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
