Employment Type: Full Time | Monday - Friday, 7:30a-4:30p
Pay Rate: $17+/hour (pay is based on requirements and experience)
Location: Lawrence, KS
As a Transportation Specialist, you'll do more than drive — you’ll build relationships, ensure the safety and comfort of participants, and be a daily point of connection for the seniors we serve. You’ll be the friendly, dependable link between our participants’ homes and our PACE center, making a meaningful difference every single day.
Midland Care’s Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is a not-for-profit health care program that helps people at risk for needing nursing home care who meet a level of care requirement stay in their own homes and communities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide safe, courteous, and timely transport for PACE participants to and from the center and medical appointments
Assist participants in and out of vehicles using proper lifting and safety techniques
Maintain accurate daily logs and ensure vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and meet regulatory standards
Communicate effectively with the care team regarding schedule changes, participant concerns, and vehicle issues
