Medical Scribe Job Description We are seeking two dedicated Medical Scribes to join our San Antonio clinics, providing essential support across various locations! As part of the team, you will document physician visits in the EMR system, assist with scribing, and handle instruments upon the physician's request. You will also perform patient work-ups post-doctor visits and communicate effectively with patients about procedures and treatments. Responsibilities + Document physician visits in the EMR system. + Assist with scribing duties. + Handle medical instruments as directed by the physician. + Conduct patient work-ups following doctor visits. + Communicate procedures and treatments to patients. Essential Skills + Proficiency in medical assisting. + Strong understanding of medical terminology. + Experience in patient care. + Familiarity with EMR systems. + Typing and data entry skills. Qualifications + Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a life science. + On-site scribing experience of at least 6 months preferred. + Ophthalmic experience preferred. + Bilingual skills are a plus. + Hands-on patient care experience is highly preferred. + Ability to multitask in a high-volume patient care setting. Work Environment The role requires flexibility to support multiple clinics in San Antonio, with travel required outside city limits. The position operates Monday to Friday. The environment is extremely fast-paced, with 80-100 patients seen daily. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs, with short and groomed nails, and hair must be tied back. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
