Laser Technician 1

Monday-Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM

Base Rate: $22.00 + $2.00 Shift Differential

What You’ll Be Doing as a Laser Technician 1:

Safely operate laser marking equipment to ensure quality parts are produced.

 

  • Operates various lasers to produce parts to print.
  • Work with other laser technicians and Lead to ensure quality and delivery targets are met.
  • Uses FIFO to direct the flow of parts.
  • Follow work instructions and procedures.
  • Follows all safety rules on a daily basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Skills and Experience You’ll Need as a Laser Technician 1:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year experience with production equipment, including quality inspection of parts
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered.
  • Superior visual acuity and the ability to identify variations in color and finish of machined parts.
  • Demonstrable organizational skills.
  • Basic Blueprint reading skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of precision measuring instruments/equipment i.e. calipers, micrometers, optical comparators.
  • Proficiency with English language skills both written and spoken.

 

 

Work Environment for a Laser Technician 1:

Work takes place in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and chemicals. Ability to use PPE. Ability to stand or sit for long periods; Good manual dexterity, fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to use full range of motion. Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds with assistance.
