Job Description

Freije is looking for an Industrial Refrigeration Technician in the Indianapolis, IN area to join our growing team. Candidates will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairs associated with refrigeration equipment. Examples of equipment include cold storage equipment, controls and ultra-low temps’ freezers. This position may also include new installations of refrigeration equipment and controls. This role reports to the Industrial Service Manager. This work will be performed at Pharmaceutical and Life Science facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect/troubleshoot/evaluate/ repairs of refrigeration equipment
• Preventive maintenance of refrigeration equipment
• Document work performed and submit report on smart device (IPAD or phone)
• Assist with providing information to quote various repair work
• Explain refrigeration issues and recommendations for repairs with customers
• Adhere to all safety procedures.
• Build strong customer relationships; build knowledge and understanding of new and existing customer needs/expectations.

Required qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of as a HVAC/R Service Technician experience

• EPA certification (Type I & II) minimum
• High level of safety and security required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with others to complete tasks
• Understanding and broad knowledge of tools, safety, and electronic equipment within this trade
• Must be punctual, adhere to daily schedule and able to handle schedule changes
• Ability to lift 75lbs, use ladders, and aerial lifts
• Valid driver's license, insurable driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
