We’re currently seeking dedicated Housekeepers for Luther Acres, the Luthercare community in Lititz, PA. We are currently hiring for full-time and part-time positions (with requirements every 3rd weekend and holiday).

WHAT YOU DO:  

As a Housekeeper at Luther Acres, you’re an integral part of ensuring our buildings and workspaces are clean, sanitary, and well-maintained. You’ll do this by performing a variety of duties, including, but not limited to: 

1. Dust and polish furniture; stock supplies; clean wash basins, tubs, and commodes; empty wastepaper baskets in resident, team member, and client areas, and collect and dispose of garbage in designated areas.
2. Perform dry and wet mopping of floors; operate vacuums, carpet extractors, and pressure washers; and clean windows, screens, ceiling lights, walls, and window treatments. 
3. Clean and prepare residential living spaces in preparation for new residents. 
4. Assist with laundry operations, which includes operating washers, dryers, irons, and collecting and delivering laundry from and to designated areas. 

Qualifications/Requirements:  

1. High school diploma or equivalent 
2. Ability to lift up to thirty (30) pounds frequently 
3. Ability to push/pull up to fifteen (15) pounds of force frequently 
4. Ability to perform the functions required to push large carts, handcarts, appliance dollies and vacuum cleaners/carpet extractors. 

Preferred Job-Related Experience/Abilities/Education:  

1. One (1) year of directly related experience 
2. Basic computer skills

Luther Acres – located in the charming, historic town of Lititz – is a Continuing Care Retirement Community with a long history of providing excellent care and services. It is part of Luthercare, which is a not-for-profit, faith-based, and mission-driven organization. Luthercare provides a network of services through its full continuum of care with three communities in Lancaster County. Luther Acres is its largest community, with nearly 600 residents living across its independent living cottages and apartments, personal care apartments, and skilled nursing healthcare center.
