The Compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience,
The qualified candidate shall have knowledge, experience and skill in the installation, maintenance and repairs of high and low voltage electrical equipment, wiring and distribution systems to ensure their safety, functionality, and code compliance,
Responsibilities and duties include the following:
Install, maintain, inspect and repair electrical systems and equipment in a safe, timely and efficient manner,
Ensure that all electrical work complies with local and national codes and regulations,
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools and make repairs as necessary,
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications,
Install and maintain lighting systems, including emergency lighting and lighting control systems,
Coordinate with contractors and other team members to complete work orders and projects on a daily basis,
Be able to work independently and responsible to make sound decisions,
Knowledgeable in the use of protective equipment,
Responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments,
Qualifications and skills:
High school diploma or equivalent with vocational or trade school training in electricity, mathematics and blueprint reading,
Successful completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship program preferred,
Three to five plus years of experience in electrical maintenance of public buildings,
Healthcare environment experience preferred,
Knowledge of local and national electrical codes and regulations,
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications,
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills,
Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
Ability to work effectively as part of a team,
Valid NJ Electrical license recommended,
Valid NJDL is required,
