Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of the CEO, the Community Supports Director will be responsible for the oversight and development of multiple care teams including Lead Care Managers, Outreach Specialists, and Housing Navigators. The Community Supports Director will assure effective day-to-day operations within ECM & Housing Programs and will supervise staff in their region.

LOCATION: Monterey County

SHIFT : Mon-Fri (8am-4pm)

WORK STYLE : remote with the expectation that they will be fully on-site once the physical office is established

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Oversee and coordinate the allocation of designated resources, overview the record keeping and reporting functions, and ensure compliance with stated mission, goals, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Evaluate program operations and activities in terms of over-all effectiveness and compliance; implement improvements and modifications as necessary; and adjust overall goals and objectives in response to program directives and/or client needs.
  • Develop, coordinate, and participate in collaborative activities, programs, and projects to maximize available resources and responsiveness to clients; provide necessary and requested resources; act as team member/ leader for assigned projects/opportunities.
  • Provides supervision for all ECM and Housing staff. Identify staff training needs and ensure development and implementation of programs that address needs, participate in delivering training sessions to meet the needs of staff related to clinical/program needs.
  • Develop, implement, and manage systems and processes to maximize the effectiveness and responsiveness of the ECM and Housing Program; act as professional and managerial resource to program staff, project teams, and clients in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Collaborate with other work units, agencies and ECM and Housing Program partners to secure advice, resources, and technical services necessary to achieve ECM and Housing Program goals, objectives, and directives in accordance with mutually agreed upon time frames and in compliance with pertinent guidelines and regulations.
  • Participate in budget preparation and administration for the ECM and Housing Program; preparing cost estimates/projections, submitting justifications for requested resources, and monitoring and controlling expenditures.
  • Perform screenings and complete individualized care plans as necessary. Coordinate care with assigned case management staff.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in order to address client needs, program issues, and assist in the integration of services for clientele.
  • Assist in the preparation of capacity building grants to expand the scope of CalAIM services offered geographically and in types of services offered (i.e. sobering center, transitional housing, etc.)
  • Participate in applicable meetings, trainings, conferences, etc. as required both internally and externally.
  • Remains culturally sensitive and respectful in all client and staff interactions.
  • Adheres to all client confidentiality requirements & standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Must be located within Monterey County with familiarity of social services agencies/programs within the region
  • Experience : Five (5) years of experience in human services or related programs with a focus on Housing, including at least two (2) years of supervisory responsibility.
  • Previous experience in a supervisor role for an ECM program HIGHLY desirable
  • Must possess knowledge and skills related to social service case management, supervising program service delivery, and outcome measurements.
  • Education : Bachelors Degree in Human Services field (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, etc) required
