Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed 3D models of electrical systems using BIM software.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate electrical models with architectural and mechanical designs.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and efficient modeling processes.
  • Review and analyze design drawings and specifications to identify potential conflicts or issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company protocols.
  • Assist in developing BIM execution plans and implementing best practices for modeling and documentation.
  • Facilitate regular coordination meetings to resolve clashes and update stakeholders on model progress.
  • Support field teams with technical information and provide training on BIM-related software and workflows.
  • Generate and distribute shop drawings, as-built drawings, and other documentation from the BIM models.
  • Ensure all BIM-related deliverables are completed on time and meet the project’s quality standards.

Here’s What We’re Looking For

  • (preferred) Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in BIM coordination, preferably within the electrical contracting or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other relevant modeling tools.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and industry standards.
  • Experience with clash detection, coordination, and resolution of multi-discipline models.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with BIM standards and protocols, including LOD (Level of Development) and BEP (BIM Execution Plan).
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and best practices is a plus.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and efficient
